Continued consultancy growth

Incentive FM Consultancy continues to strengthen its existing client relationships into 2011, growing and developing our current scope into long term review, audit and support contracts. Doing this we are able to assist our former procurement clients in ensuring that the commitments made during the tender process are carried into the new contracts, and that the selected providers remain focused and committed to each site. We are also currently at the proposal stage with 3 new clients, all of which consist of a comprehensive FM benchmark and review process, penciled to occur in the first or second quarter of 2011.

Hammerson
Our ongoing consultancy relationship with Hammerson continues to expand, both into the New Year with additional departmental review projects, and beyond with the confirmation of the auditing process for the life of the cleaning contract across the portfolio of their six major retail assets. The process is also potentially expanding to include other Hammerson sites not currently included in our review portfolio or the initial tender process, which is a great endorsement for the value of Incentive’s auditing process.

Lend Lease Retail
Having completed the exhaustive tender process for both Bluewater and Touchwood, we have provided ongoing contract and KPI development support, to ensure a robust and productive platform for the long term management of the contractor. We will also be providing an ongoing audit and review process to both sites which forms part of the new KPI management strategy.

Capital Shopping Centres
After the thorough and innovative tender process Incentive coordinated during 2010, CSC have selected two preferred suppliers to deliver the hard and soft services at their 10 UK shopping centres. When all due diligence has been completed, this will be followed by a confirmed announcement of the selected partners in early 2011. Following this highly successful partnership with CSC throughout the procurement process, we are currently negotiating to finalise our ongoing involvement in an auditing, benchmarking and review function for the life of the new hard and soft services contracts, which is potentially 7 1/2 years. We are also providing tender coordination and technical support on CSC’s behalf, procuring the maintenance and upgrade for CCTV services at the Metro Centre in Gateshead, which is currently on track for completion and commencement by April 2011.

Royal Shakespeare Company
The redevelopment of the RSC’s home at Stratford-upon-Avon was successfully completed in November 2010, and the theatre once again opened its doors to the public on the 24th, returning to full productions in February 2011. We worked in alliance with King Sturge.

Incentive’s procurement process for the single stream service providers to the new theatre and Stratford estate was successfully completed on time. An exhaustive tender process saw the appointment of new cleaning, maintenance and security contractors. All three providers demonstrated best value, and a good understanding of the RSC ensemble environment. We continue to provide support and assistance to the RSC estates team.

Our team, our strategy

All Incentive Consultancy projects have continued involvement of a number of the Senior Directors and Management team with Jessica Strawbridge, Incentive FM Consultancy’s Senior Consultant, taking an active role in all projects. In addition, project managers Bill Smale and Victoria Bradley have been working for us providing day to day management input for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

We continue to surprise our competitors as we are so active in both consulting and service delivery, two quite different disciplines. Whilst we accept others seem not to be able to do this work, we have found it to be stimulating, profitable and informative - perhaps more importantly we have testimonials from the many clients who clearly appreciate our unusual mix of skills, that are not to be found in main stream consultancy firms.

Our international line-up

Despite beginning life as UK based company, Incentive FM Group has always been keen to extend its reach beyond these shores. We have long been associated with our consultancy work overseas, and in particular with Delphi, with whom we won the International award category at the 2009 PFM Partnerships awards.

We are now attracting an increasing number of enquiries, particularly for our consultancy services. These organisations who would like to ‘tap into’ the knowledge bank of British facilities management excellence and see us as a potentially good joint venture partner.

We are currently reviewing a large consultancy opportunity in Saudi Arabia and we have been approached by a well backed organisation in Bahrain who are looking to form a facilities organisation across the Middle East and North Africa.

We are also in discussions with a multinational industrial company to potentially take over the full facilities management operations of five factories in Central Europe.

All these opportunities are interesting and of course not all will come to fruition. It is good to know that we are considered alongside, and in many cases, ahead of our larger multi-national competitors.
