Glenigan relocation





On the weekend of 4th February 2012, IFM moved Glenigan from their existing offices to their newly refurbished offices at Ocean View, 80 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.

Glenigan identified their new space in September 2011 and asked IFM to project manage the refit of the 10,000 sq ft space on the 5th floor of the building.

Incentive, working with architects Burt-Jones & Brewer, undertook a working brief from the Directors and senior Managers of the Glenigan business to specify the correct working environment for Glenigan.

Incentive then created a specification with detailed drawings and competitively tendered the works with the successful bidder being Overbury.

The specification comprised of new ceiling, LED lighting with light sensitive PIR controls, building of a large boardroom with two further meeting rooms, a curved waiting Reception area for guests, a kitchen and breakout area for the staff. New carpet was also specified.

Incentive was also asked to help specify and tender new furniture for the business with a clear brief from the senior management of Emap in London.

The boardroom and meeting room furniture was provided by EKO - using a bespoke manufacturer delivering black oak tables with cable management, matching credenzas and meeting room chairs.

An AV Company was also appointed to install TV screens, overhead projector and screen in the boardroom with speaker system. Lighting to board and meeting rooms were all LED with dimmable function for presentations. A conference call system was also installed in the boardroom.

An electronic room booking system was also installed to each meeting room which is operated via Outlook. The units have a green border when the rooms free, which turn red during the period they are booked and occupied.

The main office furniture was supplied by Portsdown, a local supplier that comprised of an Elite Linnear white benching system with cable Management and sliding tops. Black think operators chairs were provided by Steelcase.

Portsdown also supplied breakout furniture from Orange box, comprising of a mixture of tables, chairs, and sofas.

The building works commenced in early December and practical completion was on 27th January 2012.
Furniture was installed the following week and the move took place on time and on budget with the staff ready for operation on Monday 6th February 2012.

The Incentive team for this project comprised of Regional Manager - John Garrard and Site FM - Kerry Andrews. The team worked closely with Jonathan Blanks from Emap, London and Mike Woolfrey, the MD of Glenigan.
