Introducing Incentive Lynx Security

Craig Pickard, Managing Director of Incentive Lynx Security

Formerly Lynx Security Services, the company was started in 1983 by founding directors Jeremy Wetherell and his wife, Mary. With experience from the Metropolitan Police and British intelligence services, Jeremy developed the company into a well known supplier of manned guarding services and, until 2005, operated a highly respected private investigations division.

Craig Pickard, Managing Director, joined the company in 2001 and the following years saw rapid growth of the company and the forging of long term customer relationships with clients such as Broadgate Estates, Land Securities, Knight Frank, IPC Media and The European Bank for Reconstruction Development. Operations Director, Raj Pradhan, joined the company in 2007 bringing with him strong service industry experience from corporate security operations and an international hotel group.

One of the company’s flagship contracts is at the More London development located in Southwark, near to the Incentive Group offices in Loman Street. More London is a vibrant business community in a world famous location adjacent to Tower Bridge and opposite The Tower of London. It is a complex mix of offices, retail and restaurants, with significant public access. It boasts the headquarters of some of the world's largest professional firms and every day over 20,000 people pass through.

This environment brings with it a wide range of unique security and risk issues and these are ably addressed by Security Manager, Chris Middleton, and his team of 58 Incentive Lynx staff. The security team at More London have received many commendations from More London management, More London occupiers, local police and public. In 2010 the team won a British Security Industry Association award for Best Security Team – London Region.
A fine example of the situations that the More London team deal with occurred this month when three persons attempted to steal a bag from a member of the public in the street. With the assistance of the security team, police were able to locate the suspects and arrest them. Comprehensive statements and CCTV evidence provided by the Incentive Lynx team will help the police in the successful conviction of the criminals.
In an email to Jill Zekria, More London Estate Director, a Metropolitan Police Inspector commented, “The police officers who attended have detailed to me the excellent support both the Police and the victim of crime received from More London Security Manager Chris Middleton and his team and I wanted to highlight their efforts to you and pass on my thanks.”
The company’s management team has been located for the past 10 years in London E1 near Aldgate East tube station. In addition to offices and training facilities, this location also houses a Control Room that monitors contract sites on a 24/7 basis. The entire team will be moving to the Incentive Group’s Loman Street offices in mid April and a new Control Room installed.
