In July we started the full facilities management service at Cambridge Research Park. The three-year catering and facilities management deal is expected to be worthmore than £500,000 a year. Incentive will work with the estate management services provider Ashdown Phillips, providing catering at the Boardwalk Café as well as office cleaning, security and front-of-house services. Landscaping and grounds maintenance at the 112-acre development, which is set within a nature reserve, are included in the contract. All elements will be self-delivered. "This is a complex contract with a number of specialist elements, including responsibility for an amazing nature reserve and the challenges of cleaning within laboratories on site," said Martin Reed.

"At Incentive FM we have the knowledge and expertise to meet these additional services and deliver a solution that is both innovative and cost effective. "Here we are providing cleaning, security, maintenance, landscaping, catering and reception.
We warmly welcome the 11 members of staff that have successfully transferred across to Incentive FM under TUPE.

Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman- London, Coventry and Manchester
The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and Local Government Ombudsman have appointed Incentive QAS a 5 year contract to supply cleaning and recycling services at their offices in Milbank Tower (London), Coventry and Manchester. The contract is the first national deal awarded by the joint government bodies. It is partly designed to help meet CSR objectives with an added emphasis on recycling. The cleaning service incorporates daily office cleaning, periodic deep cleaning, window cleaning, washroom services and segregated recycling management for London and Manchester.

With minimal waste storage in each of the premises, the recycling service required an innovative approach thatwould provide a cost effective solution whilst meeting the Ombudsman's aim of maximum recycling. Incentive QAS worked closely with two separate recycling experts in London and Manchester in order to obtain the optimum agreement for each location. All waste management statistics will be centrally collated and produce on a monthly basis by Incentive QAS via a web portal.

Other decisive factors in the contract award included Incentive QAS' environmentally friendly range of cleaning chemicals; their well-defined approach to delivering day, evening and periodic cleaning; bespoke KPI's for the contract; and clear off sitemanagement input.

Medical Research Council - London
The Medical Research Council has awarded Incentive QAS the cleaning services contract once again at its new head office in London following its recent relocation to serviced offices. Incentive QAS first started work with MRC in 2007 at its then head office in Park Crescent. After 4 successful years the contract came to an end when the MRC relocated to Kemble Street into serviced offices in January this year. However the MRC decided to tender the cleaning contract as the service included in the new agreement was not meeting the standards they had been used to at Park Crescent. Due to their previous strong relationship, Incentive QAS were requested to provide a tender bid and were duly awarded the contract. Services to be delivered include an out of hours daily office clean plus a daytime janitor presence to assist with portering duties, waste removal, meeting room set ups and staff kitchen checks.
