Upstream - The Newsletter of Incentive FM Group

HR Update

One of the objectives of the last Management Conference was to gain ideas for innovations and improvements across the Group as a whole. As a result the new Employee Newsletter was launched in May 2011 to deal purely with employee related issues and items of employee interest across the business as a whole. We believe it will become a valuable additional tool to communicate company values, company and employee achievements, and encourage contribution for employees at every level.

The timing coincided with the relocation of our London office and the introduction of company ID badges. All staff are being issued with an ID badge in the same format, hanging from lanyards publicising the Company Values of Loyalty, Respect and Integrity.Whether individuals are a cleaning, security, administration, catering or engineering professional, employees will be required to wear these at all times whilst at work.

We are developing a new award scheme to recognise and reward people who 'live the values'. The Incentive Group has welcomed many new members of staff this year, 180 in total. A large proportion were transferred to Incentive via TUPE for new contracts that have been won such as; Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman, Thomas Cook, Hexagon Tower, The Marlowes Shopping Centre & Cambridge Research Park.

In 2010/11 our nominated charity was Help for Heroes, a charity formed to help those who have beenwounded in Britain's current conflicts. A wide cross section of our staff and customers managed to raise a great deal of money for this very worthy cause by holding quiz nights, fancy dress, dragon racing, a sponsored slim and numerous other daft projects. Almost £6000 was raised, so well done to all who took part, especially our staff at Crompton Place Shopping Centre, Bolton, who managed to raise the most money, £522.46. Of this amount, Jason Fairhurst and his partner Julie did fantastically well by raising £470. Well done and thank you.
